Fiona Gilman, or the Priestess, is one of 33 Survivors IconHelpLoading survivor currently featured in Identity V Identity v.

Overview[ | ]

Portal

The Priestess is a supporting Survivor. With the Holy Key, she can create a small portal to a selected area that can transport survivors to the other side instantly if walked into. Hunters can also walk into the small portals, but will get stunned after doing so and destroy the portal.

The Priestess can create a long portal which can stretch to any corner of the map that another Survivor is at. This action can only be done once every 150 seconds and will recharge when a portal is created, cancelled or not accepted by the other Survivors. Hunters cannot go through the portal but can hit theresidue images of Survivors in the long portal. The longer the portal is, the longer the residual image lasts. The Survivor will also be highlighted on the other side of the portal for 10 seconds. The Priestess who created the portal will not leave a residue image.

She heals others 10% faster and can be healed 30% faster. However, vaulting and decoding are not her strong suits. She also cannot take any other items with her because she "swore to protect the Holy Key forever."

The Priestess can place vertical portals on the floor if there is a level below it. Because of this, she is excellent at rescuing survivors placed in the basement.

Background[ | ]

Fiona Gilman was born into an unknown class, interested in occultism and geography. As a mystic, she claims to be a follower of the time and space of Cthulhu mythology, Yog-Sothoth. She carries with her a strange metal ring. She claimed that the Lord led her to Oletus manor, and the “Holy Key”, as she calls the ring, is evidence. Nobody believes her though. However, she is sure her team would be transfixed by the divine power inscribed in her ring.

The Priestess carries the Holy Key around and can choose to generate either a Straight Passage or an Ultra-Long Passage. Both Passages created will not lead to contaminated earth or areas, and Hunters can destroy Passages.

Straight Passage

Both Survivors and Hunters can pass through. Passages entered by Hunters will be destroyed after they squeeze through. At the same time, the Hunter will be stunned for a short period of time, and the stun duration increases with the Passage's length.

Ultra-Long Passage

Survivors entering the Portal will be quickly transported to the other side after a few seconds. A residual image of Survivors that use the Ultra-Long Passage will remain at the entrance of the Passage when using it. The time they remain is determined by the length of the Portal.

Hunters can attack these images. When the images are attacked, the damage and special effects inflicted are transferred to the Survivor (with some delay), and the Survivor becomes visible for 10 seconds.

Hunters cannot pass through the Ultra-Long Passage.

How to use

Tapping the Holy Key skill button will create a Straight Passage to the selected location.

Tapping the Special Holy Key skill button will activate the Observe Call mode and send out a call to a selected Teammate.

Long pressing the Special Holy Key skill button will activate the Direct Call mode and send a call to all Teammates.

When a Teammate answers the call, the Priestess will create an Ultra-Long Passage between the two of them, which takes a while to complete.

Full Conclusion[ | ]

Shortly after Fiona was born, her parents got into a divorce over a disagreement in belief and religions; her mother deciding that religion in any form wasn't suitable for her. She told her not to be like her father who clouded his mind with tales of heroes and beauties and she believed that religion was dangerous as it distracted people from reality.

As she grew older, Fiona began to question if her mother's view of the world was the only one, growing to believe that there was more to reality than meets the eye, and after she received a letter from an unknown source that told her to head east and explore the world. She found that life is part of being human, faith is a choice and she should follow her heart no matter the judgement. Initially she questioned if there was some kind of way she could merge the two lifestyles, but as her bond with her faith grew stronger, Fiona wondered if looking at the world in such a narrow way like her mother is inherently harmful. Her mother questioned why Fiona couldn't have been more like her.

Fiona detests the idea of the concrete and cities and dedicates herself to discovering the laws of nature, going on to explore the world, searching for the answers she seeks while letting her gods guide her. This is what eventually guides her to the manor, though she doesn't know specifically what she's searching for.

Lakeside Village Investigation Report

Dear Miss Gilman:

Our surveyor Volcker submitted his first investigation report a month ago.

Volcker is of the view that there are unusual religious activities in Lakeside Village, which may adversely affect the upcoming investigation. In fact, we all agree that such religious activities may put the Surveyor in danger. As Volcker has already applied for leave, we will confirm whether he will continue with the investigation after his leave ends or we will send another Surveyor to Lakeside Village.

The following is the original report from Volcker:

Investigation Report 1

September 12, after numerous rejections, I found a room with immigrants Eugene Hayward and Marjorie Hayward. The terrain of Lakeside Village is odd. The villagers' main living area is enveloped by a forest at the foot of a mine. A part of it is also a plot close to a lagoon with mountains on three sides, and the only way to get to it is through a narrow mountain path.

Investigation Report 2

September 13, I tried to go to the lagoon plot again. there were villagers guarding at the entrance, and I only got permission to go in after some negotiations. There is an entrance to a cave in the northern part of the lagoon plot, where several suspicious personnel dressed yellow robes were on guard. I didn't attempt to get close.

Investigation Report 3

September 15, a large boat appeared on the shore of the lagoon, and guards in yellow robes were on guard. I think they may belong to a certain religious group and they have certain privileges in Lakeside Village. The villagers wouldn't answer my questions about them. Eugene and Marjorie called the guards the "Disciples".

Investigation Report 4

September 17, I tried talking to a Disciple who turned out to be surprisingly friendly. This religion didn't have a name, or he wouldn't tell me. Anyway, according to the guard's description, they strive to disseminate the will of "god", and practice the loving principles of "god". However, this "god" lived in the bottom of the lagoon in Lakeside Village, and people must offer sacrifice in order to get god's love. He didn't tell me anything about the method of sacrifice or the offerings.

Investigation Report 5

September 19, after 2 days of hinting, Marjorie told me something about the sacrifice. She once hid from the mountain top and secretly observed the sacrifice activities from afar. the Disciples threw offerings from the boat and a giant shadow soon rose to the surface of the lagoon. The villagers yelled out their wishes from the shore, so loud that their voices reached the mountain top. Regrettably, it was too far for her to see what the offerings were. According to Marjorie, the villagers' wishes all came true. But the wishes she described were just daily needs. From my investigation experience, I think it's just a scam that the wishes come true.

Investigation Report 6

September 21, I visited each and every villager in the past 3 days and told them about my desire to know more about the legend of the lagoon god. They were extremely manic about this topic, so I got insufficient information. The Disciples were in charge of the offerings used in sacrifice activities which are livestock. After throwing the livestock into the lagoon, the lagoon god would rise to the surface and the villagers would tell the lagoon god their wishes. This part of the description is consistent with what Marjorie told me, but the part which Marjorie didn't understand was where the Disciples opened the sanctuary to the north of the lagoon after the wishes were made, and took the remains the offerings inside for the last part of the ceremony. But no villager knew what the last part of the ceremony was. I think it may be risky to ask the guards about that, but the next sacrifice will be held in 5 days, and I will find a way to go inside the sanctuary to investigate.

We have yet to Volcker's seventh investigation report.

We plan to get in touch with his family so that he will submit the report as soon as he gets home.

Tips[ | ]

  • There are strategic places to put the portals that will make the priestess even more elusive, placing portals on the ship, hospital and church.
    • Hospital: on the ground floor where the cipher can spawn and in the small rooms to reach the opposite side of the hospital
    • Church: on the wall without windows
    • Ship: behind the dock
    • Park: across the large ravine
  • Priestess should summon a global portal whenever a teammate goes for a rescue so that the rescuer and the rescued teammate can go through the portal. Other teammates who are not going for the rescue should not answer to the global portal in order to let the rescuer place the portal.
  • Hunters can see the global portal.
  • Do not summon the global portal near undecoded ciphers because the Hunter can teleport to the ciphers.
  • 'Horizontal' portals are efficient as they let you teleport away instantly from the Hunter, who instead has to wait before squeezing through the portal
  • The Priestess is also really good to make instant saves. To do that you need to summon a straight portal behind the Rocket Chair when the Hunter is placing the survivor on it. In this way, the Hunter will immediately be teleported through the portal after the animation is finished and will be stunned, giving you the time to make the save. Use Tide Turner with this trick for the maximum efficiency.
  • The Priestess is great for basement rescues because her portals can go down.
  • Portals that are 'vertical' require 3 seconds of standing on it before teleporting down or up. Keep that in mind while kiting or rescuing from basement since those seconds may be crucial.
