Bonbon, or Guard 26, is one of 22 Hunters currently featured in Identity V .
Overview[ | ]
Bonbon is able to utilize his bombs to inflict damage on survivors. By holding the bomb skill button, players can toss the bombs to longer distances and aim more accurately. Each bomb deals 0.25 damage to survivors. A stack of one or more bombs hitting a survivor at one time will be chalked up to 0.25 damage as well.
Timer Bombs have a cross-shaped attack range, which is highlighted on the ground in yellow (26-40 seconds left in countdown), orange (6-25 seconds left in countdown) or red (1-5 seconds left in countdown). Survivors can avoid the bombs by staying away from the highlighted attack range.
Players can adjust the countdown time of the timer bombs by selecting and dragging the timer skill button. The lowest limit for a timer bomb is 2 seconds and the highest is 40 seconds. Remote-Controlled Bombs do not have a countdown, and will explode upon the press of a button.
Bombs that are in the attack range of other bombs will explode when said bomb explodes in a chain reaction. For example, one bomb is 10 seconds away from exploding while another bomb is 2 seconds away. Because the first bomb is in the damage range of the second, the first bomb will explode along with the second bomb. Players can cause a chain reaction by planning the format of their bombs appropriately.
Background[ | ]
Burke, the Architect, had failed to make a robot 25 times, and he finally succeeded in the 26th time, which he could be proud of. No. 26 has a high self-awareness, which significantly increased its efficiently, and allowed Burke to have a temporary vacation away from the complex repetitive work, and to develop him a new "body". Gradually, No. 26's self-awareness evolved, and it even had a name--Bonbon.
Burke was very angry to find out that the efficiency of No. 26 decreased after the over-development of self-awareness, so he replaced the CPU and wrote No. 26 a new program. But strange things happened. No matter how many times he changed the CPU, or how many times he wrote a new program, he would always hear the same phrase after reboot; "Nice to meet you, Bonbon".
