Bonbon, or Guard 26, is one of 20 Hunters IconHelpLoading hunter.png currently featured in Identity V Identity v.png.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Bonbon is able to utilize his bombs to inflict damage on survivors. By holding the bomb skill button, players can toss the bombs to longer distances and aim more accurately. Each bomb deals 0.25 damage to survivors. A stack of one or more bombs hitting a survivor at one time will be chalked up to 0.25 damage as well.

Timer Bombs have a cross-shaped attack range, which is highlighted on the ground in yellow (26-40 seconds left in countdown), orange (6-25 seconds left in countdown) or red (1-5 seconds left in countdown). Survivors can avoid the bombs by staying away from the highlighted attack range.

Players can adjust the countdown time of the timer bombs by selecting and dragging the timer skill button. The lowest limit for a timer bomb is 2 seconds and the highest is 40 seconds. Remote-Controlled Bombs do not have a countdown, and will explode upon the press of a button.

Bombs that are in the attack range of other bombs will explode when said bomb explodes in a chain reaction. For example, one bomb is 10 seconds away from exploding while another bomb is 2 seconds away. Because the first bomb is in the damage range of the second, the first bomb will explode along with the second bomb. Players can cause a chain reaction by planning the format of their bombs appropriately.

Background[edit | edit source]

Burke, the Architect, had failed to make a robot 25 times, and he finally succeeded in the 26th time, which he could be proud of. No. 26 has a high self-awareness, which significantly increased its efficiently, and allowed Burke to have a temporary vacation away from the complex repetitive work, and to develop him a new "body". Gradually, No. 26's self-awareness evolved, and it even had a name--Bonbon.

Burke was very angry to find out that the efficiency of No. 26 decreased after the over-development of self-awareness, so he replaced the CPU and wrote No. 26 a new program. But strange things happened. No matter how many times he changed the CPU, or how many times he wrote a new program, he would always hear the same phrase after reboot; "Nice to meet you, Bonbon".

Deduction Target[edit | edit source]

All completed Objectives reward the player with +335 Logic Points Logic Points.png for the Logic Path Logic path.png

    1. Assistant
The maximum limit was determined by the first step in the creation.
      • Basic Objective: 1 Survivor(s) found.
      • Advanced Objective 1: 2 Survivor(s) found.
      • Advanced Objective 2: 3 Survivor(s) found. Conclusion
Test Record 1: After 25 failed attempts, there's only 1 viable result. A 1 in 26 chance. I hope it's all worth it.
    2. Price-performance Ratio
A temporary waste is necessary for a higher efficiency later on.
      • Basic Objective: Deploy 3 bomb(s).
      • Advanced Objective 1: Deploy 6 bomb(s).
      • Advanced Objective 2: Deploy 9 bomb(s). Conclusion
Test Record 2: No. 26 can perform construction work outside of the laboratory, including "babysitting work". It's a wise investment!
    3. Burden
Memory and energy are limited. Anything extra will be a burden.
      • Basic Objective: Use remote-controlled bombs to hit Survivors 1 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 1: Use remote-controlled bombs to hit Survivors 2 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 2: Use remote-controlled bombs to hit Survivors 3 time(s). Conclusion
Test Record 3: That's the voice of Miss DeRoss. The sentence recorded by No. 26 will take memory space. Perhaps I should delete that part.
    4. Household
This is a type of co-living unit formed based on relationships such as marriage, bloodline, adoption or cohabitation.
      • Basic Objective: Chain-detonate 3 or more bombs 1 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 1: Chain-detonate 3 or more bombs 2 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 2: Chain-detonate 3 or more bombs 3 time(s). Conclusion
Test Record 4: Since he got back from his "real" parents, that brat lost various valuable items again... He tried to take full responsability for it, but such tolerance and protection will only feed their greed.
    5. Poacher
This is a group of animals more cunning and brutal than hyenas.
      • Basic Objective: Eliminate 1 Survivors with Rocket Chairs.
      • Advanced Objective 1: Eliminate 2 Survivors with Rocket Chairs.
      • Advanced Objective 2: Eliminate 3 Survivors with Rocket Chairs. Conclusion
Video Record 1: A group of poachers is pursuing a female elk with a lame leg setting up new traps on the way.
    6. Testing Facility
If we have to conduct necessary experiments, safety should always come first.
      • Basic Objective: Use bombs to knock down Survivors 1 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 1: Use bombs to knock down Survivors 2 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 2: Use bombs to knock down Survivors 3 time(s). Conclusion
Test Record 5: I hope this incident won't make Bane furious. At least this proves that No. 26 has the basic function of a guard. Perhaps I should have added a delaying device to prevent the ammo from exploding too quickly.
    7. Verbal Passcode
Humans are a type of unreliable and unstable.
      • Basic Objective: Eliminate all Survivors.
      • Advanced Objective 1: Eliminate all Survivors.
      • Advanced Objective 2: Eliminate all Survivors.   Conclusion
Test Record 6: No verification methods that require manual verification will be as accurate as a machine, but the DeRosses apparently believed that retaining enough employees would boost the local employment rates. Even if such an action posed a risk to their property.
    8. Uncontrollable
One of the purposes of experiments is to verify the validity of theoretical hypotheses.
      • Basic Objective: Use remote controlled bombs to detonate chain explosions and hit Survivors 1 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 1: Use remote controlled bombs to detonate chain explosions and hit Survivors 1 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 2: Use remote controlled bombs to detonate chain explosions and hit Survivors 2 time(s).   Conclusion
Test Record 7: The issue of the delaying device got me into big trouble. I must re-create No. 26's motion components in the laboratory. To eliminate Miss DeRoss's curiosity about the Forest of No return, I'll keep No.26's video recording core and interaction module.
    9. Riot
An ochlocracy is a politicized mob mentality, easily instigated by those with an axe to grind.
      • Basic Objective: Hit Survivors with a charged attack 1 times.
      • Advanced Objective 1: Hit Survivors with a charged attack 2 times.
      • Advanced Objective 2: Hit Survivors with a charged attack 3 times. Conclusion
Video Record 2: Crowds with torches and guns swarmed the place, including a few familiar faces. They took two children away.
    10. Memories
He never really deleted that record.
      • Basic Objective: Bomb-hit a Survivor and quick attack the same Survivor 1 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 1: Bomb-hit a Survivor and quick attack the same Survivor 2 time(s).
      • Advanced Objective 2: Bomb-hit a Survivor and quick attack the same Survivor 3 time(s).   Conclusion
Video Record 0: A girl in a white dress smiled and said, "Nice to meet you Bonbon."
